  • Assistant Scientist, Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute, Clinical Research Cell Manufacturing Program, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Miami, FL
  • Laboratory and Lead Scientific Director, Organicell Regenerative Medicine

Dr. Michael A. Bellio is a scientist currently focused on the development of novel cell and cell-derived based therapies as Laboratory Director and Lead Scientific Director at Organicell Regenerative Medicine, Inc. He obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Miami, within the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology program. During his training as a graduate and post-doctoral fellow, he gained a strong foundation in stem cell and exosome therapy research at the University of Miami, Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute in both the research lab and the clinical cell manufacturing program. During that time, he completed research that analyzed the effect of oxygen concentration on stem cell biology and was trained in a cGMP cell manufacturing program. More recently, he has focused his research on the development of large-scale mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosome manufacturing protocols for use in pre-clinical and clinical studies. He is still an assistant scientist at the University of Miami, within the clinical cell manufacturing program, where he is able to facilitate the translation of exosome research into various models of heart and lung disease and further study the regenerative efficacy of novel cell-derived therapies.
