John J. Rush, MD earned a medical degree at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio, and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Rush also holds Master of Business Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration degrees from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Rush is the sole owner of 16 medical practices, all d/b/a Arthritis Knee Arthritis Knee Pain Centers® (AKPC) is the nation’s leader in the nonsurgical, nonopioid treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee. AKPC delivers viscosupplement gels, through a precision-guided technique, directly into the knee joint, relieving pain and increasing mobility. Arthritis Knee Pain Centers® (AKPC) is an MSO devoted solely to managing Dr. Rush’s medical practices.

Dr. Rush also founded four successful and growing captive insurance companies domiciled in Barbados. He is the founding member of three real estate investment companies, holding interest in 5 commercial properties. John also conceptualized and founded the AKPC Foundation, dedicated to the charitable support of organizations aiding in the health and well-being of senior citizens and distressed communities as well as promoting healthy lifestyles. Dr. Rush is the treasurer of the AKPC PAC, which contributes funds to political candidates in an effort to raise awareness and influence policy regarding osteoarthritis of the knee. The AKPC PAC’s goal is to educate both lawmakers and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services about the benefits of viscosupplementation.
