“Invincible: Defy Your Genetic Destiny, Halt Emerging Diseases, and Reverse Aging” is by Florence Comite, M.D.

Dr. Comite is an endocrinologist, clinician-scientist, and global authority on healthy longevity. She is the founder of the Comite Center for Precision Medicine & Healthy Longevity, with locations in New York, Palo Alto, and Miami Beach. A Yale School of Medicine graduate and faculty member for 25 years, Comite is also an entrepreneur. She founded the first physician-led app that translates her Nof1™ precision medicine insights into a virtual personalized health optimization with targeted interventions, all from the convenience of your phone.
“When I graduated from Yale University School of Medicine my father asked me what he was supposed to do to stay healthy as he got older,” says Dr. Comite. “I had my diploma. But I realized I didn’t have an answer to his question.”
Dr. Comite says that conversation started a lifelong journey of trying to do medicine differently than the way she’d been taught. “I wanted to be able to connect someone’s entire health story: Their family history, a full picture of their lifestyle, the essential biomarkers, and all of the other data that can pinpoint actionable interventions decades before they are needed, that are totally unique to each person.”
“I’m grateful that for over the past two decades, I’ve been able to practice this kind of medicine: Precise, personalized, data rich and completely unique to each person,” she says. “I call it Nof1™ – because no one else is like you, and you should have your own unique approach to living better, longer.”
According to Dr. Comite, there is one big problem that has gnawed at her the more successful she became: “This kind of care is expensive. And I wanted everyone to have access to this highly personalized preventative care.”
“It turns out the best technology – in lieu of cloning my team– is still the good old-fashioned book. My new book, ‘Invincible: Defy Your Genetic Destiny to Live Better, Longer’ is like ‘Atomic Habits’ for guiding you—bit by doable bit—towards a longer, healthier life.”
She says unlike a lot of health influencers, this book is grounded in real medicine, backed up by decades of working with patients and amazing outcomes. “It takes readers by the hand and tells them the tests to get; it details the essential metrics to track, all without overwhelming them. And then my book walks them through what to do with that data, how to make small life changes that can dramatically change their future.”
“You can’t do much about your genes,” she continues, “but your genes are only the rough draft of your future. This book gives you all the tools you need to decode that draft and ‘edit’ it, if it’s not the future you want.”
“For physicians who—like me—weren’t trained in this type of medicine, I hope this will be an invaluable tool for you and your patients to explore the science and hope of real world, evidence-based, clinically-researched longevity together.”
During her over two decades as a faculty member of Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Comite had a triple appointment as an Associate Professor in Endocrinology (Internal Medicine and Pediatrics) and Reproductive Endocrinology (Gynecology and Andrology). In 1992, she founded Women’s Health at Yale. Dr. Comite trained at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development within National Institutes of Health (NIH). She gained experience through a multi-disciplinary clinical research program with other physicians, including urologists, gynecologists, internists, and pediatricians.
Dr. Comite publishes original research in numerous clinical journals and contributes regularly to editorial publications. She speaks to audiences around the world as a sought-after keynote speaker. She is also the Amazon bestselling author of Keep It Up: The Power of Precision Medicine to Conquer Low T and Revitalize Your Life.
Dr. Comite’s upcoming book, “Invincible: Defy Your Genetic Destiny to Live Better, Longer,” will be published by Little, Brown Spark in April 2026, and may be preordered now.
