The benefits and risks of bio-identical hormone replacement will be presented, along with ways to synergize their effects with nutrition and lifestyle support. The importance of respecting human cyclic biorhythms will be outlined, with various ways to balance hormones without using hormones. The advantages and disadvantages of different application sites will also be reviewed. Explanation and treatment of hyperexcretion syndrome will be presented. Laboratory screening techniques will also be discussed comparing saliva, blood, and urine, with advantages and disadvantages of each. Techniques discussed can make your BHRT practice more reliable and highly successful.

  9. Learn and understand essentials of an Age Management BHRT program.

John Sherman, N.D.

Dr. John Sherman’s 38 years of naturopathic practice has provided him a wealth of experience — from natural childbirth to complex health challenges. His eclectic background has also provided him with a unique perspective on the treatment of many different ailments and disorders. Dr. Sherman has served as Clinic Director for Bastyr University of Kenmore, Washington, and also as associate professor for both the National College of Natural Medicine and Bastyr University. He has authored a classic naturopathic textbook on herbal medicine titled, The Complete Botanical Prescriber; and also coauthored, Alternative Medicine: The Definitive Guide. Additionally, he has produced an instructional DVD titled, Cancer and Diet: Using Food to Eliminate Cancer and Promote Recovery. Dr. Sherman sees patients with diverse health problems, including men and women interested in bio-identical hormone therapies. His areas of special interest include naturopathic endocrinology, auto-immune challenges, chronic fatigue, immune system disorders, detoxification of the body, individualized nutritional programs, and preventive whole-health programs for both men and women. Dr. Sherman’s many years of practice have taught him that helping patients find the correct diet and supplements for their unique metabolism is essential when addressing imbalances or illness.
